The wood, after the soft manual processing, is exposed to antiquating by natural agents – water, sun, wind, rain, salt, reproduced in the form of treatments inside our laboratory. The result is a wide spectrum of reactions of the tannins that provoke oxidation of the wood ranging from the light tones of the wood oxidized with sea water through the gray obtained with rain water, to the deep dark brown of the old wood.

Since the pigmentation is obtained from the body of the wood, all our woods can be washed with water, which will not only not alter them but will keep up the effect of aging and improve their aesthetic characteristics.

The essences perfumed by waxes melted in citrus oils that penetrate and light up the natural light of our hand-glazed wood, add a delicate finish to the surfaces.

The choice of material is made prior to entering the sawmill, on the basis of the parameters required in terms of length, width and of the objective quality, such as the homogeneity of the ‘original trunk’ with fewest knots.

The types of wood are exclusively oak and walnut, sourced from mountain settlements, with technical characteristics of higher hardness due to the slow growth process.

Our production has always been characterised by the high craftsmanship of our workers and the high quality of the manual intervention in the finishing stages – indispensable factors of emotion and beauty.

Naturally, the production area has a very fertile territory for woodwork, since it is rich in forests situated in a 90% mountainous area.

The work proceeds with cutting the material in different thickness according to the technical requirements of the various operations, the subsequent stacking in the service area, where the material matures for approximately 6 months, followed by drying in electronically controlled ovens and on to the processing stages that lead to the finished product.

The unique nature of the final product is due to the manual processing of the separate elements, such as the satin finishing to close the pores of the wood and the natural reactions with the wood tannins that are carried out repeatedly on each individual piece.

The technology is constantly evolving, thus bringing the processing to a fully professional level, while respecting the uniqueness of every single piece.
